Ari S. Milstein, CPA Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Ari Milstein has more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership experience with a variety of high-growth businesses, including professional services, technology, multi-location, and international organizations. He was actively involved in raising over $100 million in capital from venture financing, IPOs, equipment leasing and bank lines of credit.
As COO and CFO of Schwartz, Milstein is responsible for all Finance, Administration, Legal, Facilities, Human Resources, IT and Business Development of the company.
Prior to Schwartz, Milstein was the CFO of Adlex, Inc., a software start-up that pioneered IT service delivery management. He led Adlex to its successful acquisition by Compuware. Previous to Adlex, Milstein was CFO of Quantiva, Inc., a performance monitoring software start-up acquired by NetScout, and also served as VP Finance at Switchboard.com, the Internet’s first online yellow and white pages directory, where he managed the financial growth of the company as well as all financial and accounting processes of the company’s highly successful IPO in 2000. Switchboard was acquired by InfoSpace.
Milstein’s other experience includes various senior financial and technical positions at Mulberry Child Care, Inc., a professional services start-up that was acquired by KinderCare, in addition to financial planning and analysis roles for Marshalls, a large national apparel retailer which was acquired by TJX. Milstein started his career in public accounting at two of the national "Big Four" accounting firms, where he became a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Milstein completed his undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire and earned his M.B.A. at Bentley University. He also completed the CSS Program in E-commerce Management at Harvard University and has also taught various finance and accounting courses in graduate-level programs. He is a sports and fitness buff, having completed five marathons and a triathlon, and has been actively involved in coaching youth soccer and basketball.
