From industry leaders to start ups, her clients inlcude Accuray, Cyberonics, Inc., Hologic, Abbott POC, EnteroMedics, Heartstream (now Philips Medical), C. R. Bard Urology, Haemonetics, Proxima Therapeutics (now Hologic), iCAD, Genzyme Biosurgery, Agencourt, Inspire Medical and Wright Medical. In addition to developing positioning that resonates with the media and mentoring junior staff on media relations tactics, Helen works directly with senior reporters and producers and has secured coverage of her clients in outlets such as the CBS Evening News, Dateline NBC, the Today Show, CNN, CNBC, TIME, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest, The Dow Jones, The Associated Press, Forbes, Fortune, BusinessWeek, and Fast Company. With Helen’s guidance, many of the agency’s healthcare clients have engaged in successful social media campaigns. She continues to provide leadership and counsel to the healthcare practice on social and digital media strategies, and established the agency’s blog, PRx, which comments on trends and news in healthcare. Prior to joining Schwartz, Helen worked in the PR group of Lehman Millet, a medical marketing agency, where she launched the first diagnostic tests for Alzheimer’s disease and worked with a local biotech company developing oral vaccines. At Cudaback Strategic Communications, she worked with a wide range of clients, including a medical device company with the first robotic solution for hip replacement surgery, The Smithsonian Institution, Computerworld, PCWorld and Arthur D. Little, Inc. Helen earned a B.A. in political science from Boston University in 1987. She served for several years on the board of the Publicity Club of New England.
